Emerald Cabin

Overview

Emerald Cabin was designed for clients entering a new phase of life, with a clear vision for how they wanted to live but openness around how the architecture should take shape. The goal was a contemporary home that felt connected to nature, balanced American and European influences, and supported an energy-conscious lifestyle without sacrificing warmth or comfort.

The design emphasizes light, openness, and movement, using natural materials like timber and stone to ground the expansive spaces and create a strong sense of place. Large windows and vertical volumes allow the surrounding landscape to become part of the interior experience, resulting in a home that feels immersive, intentional, and deeply connected to its environment.

Highlights

Christiana Cabinetry was selected to execute European frameless casework throughout the home, meeting the project’s exacting standards for precision and performance. The kitchen is anchored by a substantial walnut waterfall island that integrates seating, storage, and open bookcases, serving as both a functional workspace and architectural focal point. Rich dark green cabinetry enhances the connection between indoors and out, while finely tuned flush overlay construction delivers highly organized storage with a clean, modern aesthetic.
