Artist's Retreat

Located along the Emerald Coast, this four-story coastal residence was designed to balance durability, livability, and expansive views. With direct access to white sand beaches and subtle Gulf waves, the home’s architecture responds thoughtfully to its environment, beginning with a solid concrete foundation built for coastal conditions.

The main living spaces are elevated to the second floor, allowing the home to rise above the frontal dune and capture uninterrupted views while maintaining privacy and resilience. The overall form breaks down the height and scale of the structure through an H-shaped layout and saddle roof, creating a sense of openness and approachability despite its size. Exterior details such as lap siding, black window frames, and natural materials soften the architecture and connect the home to its seaside setting.

Christiana Cabinetry provided custom cabinetry designed to support both the scale and functionality of a multi-level coastal home. Thoughtful storage solutions were integrated throughout the living spaces to maintain clarity and ease of use, even during large gatherings. Natural wood elements and clean-lined cabinetry complement the architectural vocabulary, reinforcing a calm, refined interior that feels grounded within its coastal surroundings.
